Requirements
- 5+ years of professional product design experience.
- Strong background in 0-to-1 work such as early-stage startups, new product incubation, or innovation teams.
- Strategic mindset with focus on business viability and customer problem validation.
- Entrepreneurial and self-motivated approach to identifying and testing product assumptions.
- Proven ability to plan, recruit for, moderate, and synthesize both qualitative and quantitative research.
- Versatile prototyping skills ranging from static flows to functional customer-ready concepts.
- Fluency or strong desire to master AI tools for design, coding, and research synthesis.
- Strong storytelling capabilities for distilling complex findings into executive-level narratives.
- Intellectual honesty and objectivity when evaluating business opportunities.
- Knowledge of or passion for the youth sports community.
Responsibilities
- Partner with your PM and the Strategy team to turn emerging business ideas into sharp, testable questions.
- Own validation sprints end to end: framing the riskiest assumptions, choosing the right method, running the work, and synthesizing findings.
- Select and execute research methods including surveys, interviews, ethnography, diary studies, and concept testing.
- Build prototypes at various fidelities ranging from paper sketches and Figma flows to functional, AI-assisted coded prototypes.
- Utilize AI tools to accelerate workflows, scale research synthesis, and expand experimental reach.
- Recruit and engage coaches, players, and families to validate opportunities in new markets or sports.
- Deliver evidence-backed go/no-go recommendations to executive leadership.
- Package validated insights and concepts for smooth handoff to product teams.
- Collaborate across User Research, Data, Product, and Engineering to drive execution.
- Define and shape the Studio team's operational playbook and validation standards.
