Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in healthcare communications within an agency.
- Advanced degree in life sciences, medicine, pharmacy, or a related discipline (PhD, MD, or PharmD preferred).
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for creating persuasive scientific narratives.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines across diverse accounts.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Adobe Acrobat.
- Familiarity with online proofing platforms such as Workfront Proof and Ziflow.
- Proficiency with Veeva Vault.
- Proficiency with AI tools and resources to facilitate research and content development.
Responsibilities
- Oversee a team of medical writers within assigned therapeutic areas and client accounts; provide leadership and mentorship.
- Review and revise medical content to ensure scientific accuracy and alignment with client strategies.
- Counsel and serve as integral partner to clients in the development of various medical strategies and in the design and analysis of related medical communication tactics.
- Serve as the primary medical point of contact for clients on projects and deliverables, providing strategic and tactical guidance.
- Ensure all deliverables meet the highest standards of scientific accuracy, consistency, and compliance with client guidelines and industry regulations.
- Partner with account/project leads to ensure accurate budgeting, timely resourcing, and effective communication.
- Contribute to business growth by supporting the development of new business proposals and participating in client pitches.
