Requirements
- 8+ years in platform, infrastructure, or systems engineering.
- 3+ years managing and developing engineers.
- Experience standing up an internal AI or developer platform from a blank page.
- Fluency in AI cost engineering: usage attribution, model right-sizing, and token economics.
- Hands-on technical depth across LLM platform tooling, agent and MCP architecture, identity/OAuth, CI/CD, and IaC.
- Experience with data governance in a regulated environment.
- Ability to operate through influence across organizational silos.
- Comfort building tools for both engineering and non-engineering internal users.
Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and grow a senior team spanning platform engineering and technical program management.
- Own the AI access layer end to end, including identity, authentication, and security guardrails.
- Manage AI cost engineering by building usage attribution, model right-sizing, and budget alerting frameworks.
- Oversee the Model Context Protocol (MCP) layer for internal tools, ensuring governance and impact assessment.
- Define and maintain a 'golden-path' deployment pattern for internal applications with private-by-default security.
- Develop enablement resources such as skills registries and evaluation frameworks to improve internal AI usage.
- Coordinate with cross-functional partners in Engineering, GRC, Security, Data, Finance, and People.
