Requirements
- Bachelor of Science Degree in an engineering discipline.
- 2-5 years of environmental experience (a Master’s degree may substitute for 2 years of experience).
- Knowledge of State and Federal environmental regulations.
- Understanding of environmental engineering and technology principles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft and Google Office suites.
- Strong technical writing and documentation skills.
- Ability to perform complex environmental calculations.
- Professional project management and facilitation skills.
- Strong customer service and interpersonal communication abilities.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize multiple tasks under deadlines.
Responsibilities
- Review and evaluate moderately complex water reclamation permit applications, reports, facility designs, and cost estimates.
- Participate in site visits, data collection, inspections, and investigations regarding environmental topics.
- Perform complex environmental calculations based on provided methodologies.
- Provide rigorous technical guidance to municipal facilities and responsible parties to ensure compliance with environmental laws.
- Assist in preparing environmental guidance documents.
- Perform or lead projects under the direction of a unit lead or manager.
- Respond to customer inquiries in a professional manner.
- Provide compliance assistance to stakeholders including contractors, engineers, and geologists.
