Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in an engineering discipline.
  • 2-5 years of environmental experience (a Master’s degree may substitute for 2 years of experience).
  • Knowledge of State and Federal environmental regulations.
  • Understanding of environmental engineering and technology principles.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft and Google Office suites.
  • Strong technical writing and documentation skills.
  • Ability to perform complex environmental calculations.
  • Professional project management and facilitation skills.
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal communication abilities.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize multiple tasks under deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Review and evaluate moderately complex water reclamation permit applications, reports, facility designs, and cost estimates.
  • Participate in site visits, data collection, inspections, and investigations regarding environmental topics.
  • Perform complex environmental calculations based on provided methodologies.
  • Provide rigorous technical guidance to municipal facilities and responsible parties to ensure compliance with environmental laws.
  • Assist in preparing environmental guidance documents.
  • Perform or lead projects under the direction of a unit lead or manager.
  • Respond to customer inquiries in a professional manner.
  • Provide compliance assistance to stakeholders including contractors, engineers, and geologists.
