Requirements
- Experience with operating and managing workloads on Kubernetes.
- Experience in datacenter operations or bare metal management.
- Proficiency in Go, Python, and Shell scripting.
- Strong understanding of distributed systems.
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform or Crossplane.
- Ability to own the full development life cycle, including design and testing.
- Experience with on-call rotation participation.
- Experience with Cluster-API, Tinkerbell, Talos, or Ceph is a plus.
- Familiarity with Kubernetes scheduling and Karpenter.
- Ability to work effectively in a remote-first, collaborative environment.
Responsibilities
- Manage physical 'Metal' infrastructure from bare metal to Kubernetes clusters.
- Handle cluster networking components including load balancing, NAT, DNS, CNIs, and routing protocols.
- Manage cluster scheduling and autoscaling configurations.
- Maintain Crossplane compositions and Terraform modules for cloud provider resources.
- Manage versioning and compatibility for Terraform and Crossplane providers.
- Collaborate with internal Grafana Cloud application teams to understand platform needs.
