Requirements
- Experience with datacenter operations and infrastructure management.
- Proficiency in Go, Python, and Shell programming.
- Hands-on experience operating and managing workloads on Kubernetes.
- Experience with distributed systems.
- Experience with the full software development life cycle, from design documentation to integration testing.
- Previous experience participating in an on-call rotation.
- Strong communication and collaborative skills suitable for a remote-first, distributed environment.
- Eagerness to learn and grow within an innovation-driven team.
- Knowledge of Terraform and/or Crossplane is preferred.
- Familiarity with Cluster-API, Tinkerbell, Talos, or Ceph is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Manage the physical 'Metal' environment from bare metal to Kubernetes.
- Manage cluster networking components including load balancing, NAT, DNS, CNIs, and cross-cluster communication.
- Manage scheduling and autoscaling for platform resources.
- Maintain Crossplane compositions and Terraform modules for cloud service provider resources.
- Manage versioning and compatibility for Crossplane, Terraform core, and providers.
- Collaborate with Grafana Cloud application teams to understand needs and develop appropriate platform capabilities.
