Requirements
- Production-grade Rust experience building high-performance, concurrent systems.
- Proficiency with Tokio is a strong advantage.
- Hands-on experience in a systematic trading environment (HFT, Market Making, Quantitative Trading).
- Strong AWS and Linux expertise.
- Proficiency in Python or other scripting languages for strategy development and automation.
- Deep familiarity with trading system protocols (FIX, REST, WebSocket).
- Solid grasp of low-latency networking (TCP/UDP, packet/latency path analysis, DPDK).
- Familiarity with agentic engineering tools (LLMs, MCP APIs, AI-First IDEs).
- Ability to make sound architectural decisions and articulate trade-offs.
- Strong technical leadership and mentoring skills.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and optimise low-latency, mission-critical trading systems.
- Own key trading stack components end-to-end from architecture through to production operation.
- Collaborate closely with quants, traders, and engineers to deliver solutions that improve trading performance and resilience.
- Maintain and evolve trading infrastructure with a focus on performance, stability, observability, and operational excellence.
- Troubleshoot complex production issues across exchange connectivity, execution, and market data handling.
- Drive engineering standards through technical leadership, code reviews, and mentoring.
- Embrace agentic engineering principles including AI-assisted workflows and automation.
- Contribute to functional, component, and production-readiness testing for critical trading components.
