Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- 7+ years of relevant experience as a QA Engineer or Software Engineer in Test.
- Deep proficiency in TypeScript, including advanced typing and code architecture.
- Strong command of Playwright.
- Practical experience partnering with engineers to define and roll out test pyramid guidelines.
- Comprehensive knowledge of CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions).
- Experience creating and maintaining containerized test environments.
- Experience mentoring engineers and defining automation standards.
- Demonstrated AI literacy for productivity and quality enhancement.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Responsibilities
- Own projects end-to-end with clarity, technical excellence, and accountability.
- Champion strong TypeScript engineering practices and coding standards across the QA codebase.
- Design, implement, and maintain efficient, well-typed, and reliable automated tests across frontend and backend using Playwright.
- Raise the team's TypeScript bar through stronger typing patterns, reusable abstractions, and code review practices.
- Partner with engineering to define and enforce the test pyramid in practice.
- Perform manual and exploratory testing; document, track, and verify defects.
- Participate in project kick-offs to anticipate risks and influence testability.
- Mentor and support teammates on TypeScript proficiency and Playwright best practices.
