Requirements
- Demonstrable experience operating at staff or principal level.
- Expertise in front-end engineering with TypeScript and React.
- Track record of architecting complex, long-lived web applications.
- Deep understanding of state management at scale, performance, and accessibility.
- Experience in component-system design.
- Ability to reason about the backend APIs and services the front-end depends on.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to explain complex technical decisions to Product, Design, and non-technical stakeholders.
- Comfort working in a collaborative, remote-first, and high-autonomy environment.
Responsibilities
- Set and drive front-end technical strategy across the Account Experience teams from architecture to implementation.
- Own the architecture of a complex, data-dense merchant platform including patterns, state management, and performance.
- Shape the maturity of the Primer AI Companion as a first-class merchant interface.
- Ensure UI coherence across Account Setup, Monitors, Workflows, and Auditing via shared component and design-system foundations.
- Lead engineers across teams through code reviews, design reviews, and technical mentorship.
- Own accessibility, performance budgets, and front-end observability as first-class concerns.
- Partner with Product, Design, and backend engineers to influence technical and product decisions.
