- Bachelor’s degree or military experience.
- At least 10 years of experience writing technical documentation for software solutions.
- At least 4 years of people management experience.
- At least 3 years of experience with Markdown and Git.
- Experience transforming deeply technical content into clear, customer-focused materials.
- Strong understanding of data management technologies and processes.
- Experience with Agile software development processes.
- Ability to communicate complex information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and grow a team of technical writers by conducting regular 1-on-1s and supporting career development.
- Define the documentation vision, including tool selection, style guides, and information architecture.
- Act as the primary bridge between Engineering, Product Management, and Support to ensure documentation is integrated into the Software Development Life Cycle.
- Prioritize projects and manage team bandwidth to meet release deadlines.
- Maintain and improve Docs-as-Code workflows using Git, Markdown, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Transform complex technical material into clear documentation for Engineers, Product Managers, and Architects.
- Create technical documentation for APIs, SDKs, and system integrations.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to develop and maintain high-quality customer-focused documentation.
