Requirements
- Proficiency in residential lighting control systems (design, load types, panelized vs. distributed architecture, keypad specification, integration).
- Proficiency in motorized shade systems (power planning, fabric selection, control integration).
- Ability to read and construct technical documentation such as house plans, elevations, and lighting diagrams.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD.
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365.
- Technical aptitude and extreme attention to detail.
- Must pursue continuing education on all systems with a focus on lighting and shading control.
- Valid in-state driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check.
- Flexibility to meet customer demands outside of normal working hours.
Responsibilities
- Research products and make recommendations to sales staff based on functionality.
- Produce documents to assist technicians with installation, including plans, drawings, and elevations.
- Partner with design and sales teams to ensure vision is achieved and functionality is included.
- Ensure requirements from other trades are specified on drawings and communicated to Project Managers.
- Create innovative ways to obtain desired results while adhering to budget and product constraints.
- Attend weekly design meetings with engineers to obtain feedback on design improvements.
- Review sales orders, product lists, and elevations with stakeholders.
- Update project documentation, proposals, and change orders in job management software.
- Provide remote support for technicians in the field and occasionally travel to project sites.
