Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of project engineering experience in the design/build, EPC, or utility SCADA solar (PV) and battery (BESS) generation field.
- Demonstrated experience producing technical CAD documents.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD; SolidWorks experience is a plus.
- Working knowledge of electrical and SCADA design, materials, and methods of installation.
- Experience creating utility-scale permitting and construction documents.
- Understanding of communications and network design principles.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience participating in or leading continuous improvement or lessons learned programs.
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and partners.
Responsibilities
- Develop detailed mechanical, electrical, civil, and structural designs for solar arrays.
- Architect and develop detailed design documentation including System Architecture Diagrams, Device Points Lists, and Logic Diagrams.
- Create and maintain design packages and Bills of Materials (BOMs).
- Coordinate with project managers and external partners to define design goals and project basis.
- Manage document control and hold design review meetings to ensure quality control.
- Assist in the development of departmental processes, best practices, and industry standards.
