Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in construction management, architecture, or engineering.
- 5 years directly related experience in healthcare or higher education capital project management.
- Strong working knowledge of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems in healthcare, laboratory, and medical office environments.
- Awareness of current industry trends and emerging technologies in MEP design.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD and Revit for basic tasks and file manipulation.
- Proficiency in project management software including eBuilder, Microsoft Office, and Microsoft Project.
- Working knowledge of building codes relevant to healthcare and research facilities.
- Understanding of regulatory agencies such as the State Department of Health, City of Philadelphia, New Jersey Department of Health, and The Joint Commission.
Responsibilities
- Manage planning, design, and construction of capital projects, including new buildings and renovations.
- Coordinate and oversee both external contractors and in-house maintenance staff during construction and renovation activities.
- Develop, maintain, and take accountability for project scope, schedule, and budget.
- Assist in preparation and management of contracts for architectural and engineering consultants.
- Lead bidding, award, and construction execution processes.
- Oversee ancillary project components such as telecommunications/data coordination and relocation services.
