Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree in Nuclear Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a closely related discipline.
- 20+ years of applicable professional experience in nuclear power plant construction, procedure writing, commissioning, and initial plant operation.
- Demonstrated expertise in developing, reviewing, and revising nuclear operations and maintenance procedures.
- Strong knowledge of current standards and requirements governing nuclear procedure preparation and documentation.
- Practical understanding of nuclear plant testing, startup, commissioning, construction coordination, and turnover activities.
- Ability to review technical information, identify deficiencies, and recommend corrective actions.
- Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills for communication with diverse stakeholders.
- Proven experience building relationships with clients, regulators, and engineering organizations.
- Strong organizational skills with ability to coordinate multiple technical priorities.
- Willingness and ability to travel to client offices, vendor locations, and nuclear plant sites.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate communications between clients, owners, regulators, engineering teams, construction teams, and other project stakeholders.
- Coordinate technical and project issues between engineering and construction teams to drive timely resolution.
- Review corrective action matters and project deficiencies, providing recommendations for resolution.
- Develop detailed startup plans for functional testing of process systems and support commissioning.
- Prepare system turnover packages and review testing documentation for completeness.
- Review, create, and revise operations and maintenance procedures in accordance with nuclear industry standards.
- Evaluate proposed procedure changes to confirm technical accuracy and assess impacts.
- Conduct field verification of designs and support construction coordination at nuclear plant sites.
