Requirements
- C1 or higher proficiency in both English and French.
- 2+ years experience as a Translator/Interpreter.
- Experience providing virtual interpretation on appropriate platforms.
- Relevant degree or training in Languages or Communications is preferred.
- Advanced Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook skills.
- Basic knowledge of Trello and Microsoft Teams.
- Strong written communication, editing, and proofreading abilities.
- Ability to work independently and with teams to meet deadlines.
- Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Some knowledge of climate change, climate finance, and blockchain technology is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Report to the Translation Manager and provide written translation and live interpretation during meetings with foreign stakeholders.
- Translate minutes, reports, and formal letters between English and French.
- Answer language-related queries to support service users requiring assistance.
- Cooperate with other volunteers on ad-hoc projects.
- Provide virtual interpretation on appropriate platforms.
