Requirements
- 5+ years of relevant network administration or enterprise infrastructure experience.
- Demonstrated experience supporting Department of Defense or Army enterprise networking environments.
- Strong expertise in enterprise routing and switching, including OSPF, BGP, and VRRP/HSRP.
- Hands-on experience with Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto, or comparable networking and security platforms.
- Working knowledge of Department of Defense cybersecurity frameworks (DISA STIGs, RMF, ACAS).
- Current Top Secret/SCI clearance or Top Secret clearance with the ability to obtain SCI.
- Qualifying DoD 8140-aligned certification (e.g., Security+, CASP, SecurityX, or CCNA).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to operate effectively in a high-tempo, 24/7 environment.
- U.S. citizenship is required.
Responsibilities
- Serve as an Alternate Network Team Lead and provide technical leadership within an enterprise network operations environment.
- Maintain the stability, security, availability, and efficient operation of large-scale Army and Department of Defense enterprise network environments.
- Perform advanced administration, monitoring, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of critical network infrastructure and services.
- Lead high-impact incident response activities, troubleshoot complex network issues, and coordinate restoration efforts.
- Maintain and secure network boundary protection systems in accordance with DISA STIGs and RMF requirements.
- Contribute to network automation and engineering initiatives to improve operational efficiency and scalability.
- Mentor junior network administrators and support their technical development.
- Participate in global maintenance windows and after-hours operational activities as required.
