Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or an equivalent 5+ years of related work experience.
- Solid understanding of the OSI model with hands-on network troubleshooting experience using debug commands, packet captures, and routing analysis.
- Hands-on experience with configuration and troubleshooting of Cisco ASA/Firepower, Fortinet FortiGate, and Palo Alto firewalls.
- Experience with Cisco Routers and Switches.
- Working knowledge of routing protocols including BGP and OSPF.
- Experience supporting and troubleshooting SD-WAN environments.
- Hands-on experience with Cradlepoint routers and wireless WAN solutions managed through Ericsson NetCloud Manager.
- Strong experience troubleshooting Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking issues.
- Demonstrated ability to explain technical issues clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively in a team setting across time zones.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the configuration, installation, maintenance, and upgrade of Fortinet, Cisco and Palo Alto next generation firewall devices.
- Support existing customer-facing networks and assist senior engineers with network expansion, hardware refresh, and connectivity solutions.
- Implement system and network configurations in compliance with security policies and best practices.
- Manage Cradlepoint wireless edge devices via Ericsson NetCloud Manager, including onboarding, provisioning, and firmware upgrades.
- Provide break/fix support and change management, including troubleshooting cellular (LTE/5G) WAN connectivity.
- Provide multi-layered technical support and resolve service-impacting anomalies within a 24/7 operations environment.
- Serve as a liaison with customers and third-party providers to troubleshoot complex issues.
- Track issues accurately in the ticketing system and provide timely status updates to customers.
