Requirements
- BA/BS with 5+ years of relevant experience or MS/PhD with 3+ years of relevant experience.
- Academic training in mathematics, statistics/biostatistics, statistical programming, observational research, or health economics.
- Advanced proficiency programming in R, Python, and SQL.
- Proven experience analyzing secondary patient data (e.g., electronic medical records, administrative claims).
- Solid working knowledge of statistical methods and epidemiological methods.
- Experience leading studies and guiding junior team members through the implementation of analyses.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain technical details to non-expert audiences.
- Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills for cross-functional work.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the implementation of observational research studies and data analyses.
- Assess study feasibility using various databases, including new or unfamiliar sources.
- Conduct exploratory analyses to generate insights for study design and feasibility.
- Characterize disease epidemiology and burden of disease using descriptive and comparative designs.
- Develop algorithms such as lines of therapy for oncology.
- Perform statistical modeling including regression and time-to-event analyses.
- Create statistical analysis plans and table shells based on study protocols.
- Communicate technical results and findings to non-expert stakeholders.
