Requirements
- Advanced degree (PharmD, Ph.D., MD, or Genetic Counseling).
- 4+ years of medical affairs or field medical experience preferred, or 3+ years of relevant clinical/healthcare experience.
- Prior experience in rare diseases, neuromuscular, or neurology fields.
- Demonstrated leadership capability in project teams, including MSLs and cross-functional groups.
- Exceptional teaching and scientific communication skills.
- Strong relationship-building skills with industry and academic thought leaders.
- Understanding of clinical research and pharmaceutical product development processes.
- Demonstrated organizational skills, adaptability, and ability to work independently.
- Ability to travel 50-60% of the time for conferences, meetings, and speaker programs.
- Willingness to perform evening and weekend work as required by business imperatives.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain relationships with healthcare professionals, clinical care sites, and key stakeholders within assigned territory.
- Lead cross-functional collaborations within therapeutic areas to contribute to strategic medical territory plans.
- Mentor and support peer MSLs, fostering knowledge transfer and professional development.
- Actively lead strategic planning, execution, and post-congress analytics of scientific congresses.
- Collaborate with clinical development for research initiatives, including site identification and investigator-sponsored trial processes.
- Contribute to the development of scientific and medical content, including slide decks, FAQs, and training materials.
- Participate proactively in cross-functional strategic initiatives and workstreams.
