Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- 7+ years of industry experience building and delivering software products.
- Proven experience managing software engineering teams and developing engineering talent.
- Strong track record of leading teams through complex technical challenges and delivering scalable solutions.
- Experience shipping web and mobile products in a production environment.
- Previous hands-on software engineering experience, with knowledge of technologies such as Java and/or React preferred.
- Ability to break down complex business problems into clear technical strategies and actionable plans.
- Strong understanding of software development practices, architecture, and engineering processes.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to motivate teams, influence stakeholders, and create a culture of accountability and growth.
Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of software engineers while fostering an inclusive, collaborative, and respectful environment.
- Provide ongoing coaching, feedback, and performance support through regular one-on-one meetings and team engagement practices.
- Drive strategic planning initiatives by balancing business priorities, technical investments, resource allocation, and technical debt management.
- Partner with product and design teams to define roadmaps, prioritize backlogs, and deliver customer-focused solutions.
- Promote engineering best practices, improving code quality, architecture, development processes, and overall technical excellence.
- Support teams in resolving complex technical challenges by encouraging structured problem-solving and effective decision-making.
- Facilitate communication across teams, manage conflicts, and build strong relationships with technical and business stakeholders.
- Encourage innovation and continuous improvement through experimentation, knowledge sharing, and adoption of modern technologies.
- Ensure successful delivery of software products across multiple platforms, including web and mobile environments.
