Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in sustainability, environmental science, public policy, or a related field (or equivalent relevant professional experience).
- 3+ years of experience in corporate sustainability, ESG, compliance, or a related field.
- Working knowledge of environmental reporting and compliance frameworks.
- Familiarity with packaging EPR and California source-reduction requirements is strongly preferred.
- Experience supporting B Corp certification, recertification, or completion of the B Impact Assessment is preferred.
- Familiarity with corporate greenhouse-gas accounting, carbon-reduction targets, and communicating project-level carbon impacts.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets.
- Ability to validate data, identify inconsistencies, and maintain clear supporting documentation.
- Comfortable working independently from established processes and documentation with minimal ramp-up time.
- Exceptional attention to detail, data accuracy, organization, and follow-through.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and validate product sustainability statistics used in retail materials and product detail pages.
- Support EPR (Extended Producer Responsibility) reporting through data collection and completion of California’s ISR (Individual Source Reduction) requirements.
- Support the B Corp gap assessment and preparation for the next recertification cycle.
- Provide sustainability inputs for monthly and quarterly Stage Gate updates.
- Report the carbon impact of active projects.
- Track progress against Science Aligned Targets using quarterly footprint data.
- Share updates on carbon-reduction projects.
