Requirements
- At least 10 years of progressive leadership or management of public health programs of similar scope and size.
- Demonstrated experience managing a team of at least 30 people and a program portfolio of $8 to $10M in revenue.
- Master’s degree in public health or similar field (or bachelor's degree with an additional 8 years of relevant experience).
- Demonstrated expertise in the substance use, problem gambling, and/or behavioral health treatment ecosystem.
- Demonstrated experience securing and managing significant federal or state contracts.
- Exceptional team management skills with ability to build and sustain effective teams of senior professionals.
- Strong project management skills, including setting strategic vision, goals, and priorities.
- Ability to build and manage complex, intersecting, and mutually dependent project and portfolio budgets.
- Deep understanding of and commitment to health and racial equity.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead a portfolio of statewide helplines and provide direction on staffing, hiring, budgets, planning, and implementation.
- Establish a vision for the cluster and develop goals aligned with HRiA’s mission, including health and racial equity.
- Supervise at least two senior staff and administrative coordinators to ensure effective project execution.
- Work with senior staff to promote a cohesive team structure that supports work/life balance for 24/7/365 operations.
- Oversee continuous quality improvement activities and conduct annual staff performance reviews.
- Develop and monitor the overall cluster budget in collaboration with finance and executive leadership.
- Identify, assess, and pursue new business development opportunities to ensure program sustainability and growth.
- Serve as a subject matter expert in behavioral health helpline services, prevention, treatment, and recovery.
