Requirements
- BS/BA degree in a related field with 6+ years of pharma/biotech commercial experience, including 2+ years in specialty pharmacy/market access.
- Alternative: Master’s degree/MBA with 4+ years of related experience.
- Alternative: PharmD or PhD with 2+ years of related experience.
- Strong understanding of specialty pharmacies, managed care, pharmacy benefit managers (PBMs), and government payers.
- Excellent working knowledge of patient support, reimbursement, and financial assistance programs.
- Strong understanding of the prescription adjudication process.
- Ability to communicate payer coverage criteria and prior authorization processes.
- Proficiency with technology options for electronic Patient Access (PA) submission (e.g., CoverMyMeds).
- Ability to travel overnight up to 60% of the time.
- Excellent project management, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide field access support services and education to healthcare professionals to accelerate patient access to Company products.
- Communicate with Specialty Pharmacies, Closed Door Pharmacies, and HUB partners to support product distribution.
- Build and maintain the pharmacy distribution network by conducting vetting activities within the assigned geography.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with field sales, market access, and commercial analytics to support patient access.
- Train HCPs on payer-specific coverage policies, documentation requirements, and financial assistance programs.
- Monitor distribution network effectiveness and share best practices with leadership.
- Conduct patient access workshops and assist with new hire training as needed.
