Job Details

Requirements

Proven experience editing video content with a portfolio or channel demonstrating storytelling ability.
Strong understanding of YouTube formats, retention curves, hooks, and audience engagement.
Deep sense of design and aesthetic quality suitable for the Mobbin brand.
Proficiency in industry-standard video editing tools such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve.
Ability to work independently and manage own schedule as a contractor.
Clear communication skills and reliability in meeting deadlines.
Experience with motion graphics (After Effects) is a plus.
Familiarity with collaboration tools like Frame.io is a plus.
Understanding of thumbnail design principles is a plus.

Responsibilities

Edit long-form content including talking-head segments, UI/UX teardowns, and product deep-dives from raw footage and scripts.
Manage pacing and story structure to maintain high viewer retention.
Perform sound design, dialogue cleanup, and music selection to add professional polish.
Handle color correction, captions, and on-screen text to ensure UI elements are legible.
Iterate rapidly through feedback loops while maintaining organized project files.
Meet predictable project deadlines for a part-time, self-directed schedule.
