Requirements
- 4+ years of professional experience editing narrative, vlog, or docu-style content specifically for YouTube.
- Portfolio featuring long-form videos with verifiable performance, view counts, and retention context.
- Expert-level proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe After Effects, and Adobe Audition.
- Strong working knowledge of YouTube analytics, specifically AVD, CTR, and impression-to-watch ratios.
- Proficiency in project management tools such as ClickUp and file storage systems like Google Drive.
- Ability to work independently and meet strict production deadlines.
- Comfortable working in a faith-driven, mission-oriented environment.
- Proven track record of editing high-performing YouTube content.
- Ability to prioritize storytelling and audience retention over personal editing style.
Responsibilities
- Edit 4-8 long-form YouTube videos per month (vlogs, docu-series, interviews) from raw footage to final export.
- Build and maintain a repeatable workflow inside ClickUp and Google Drive.
- Make narrative decisions that serve viewer retention and improve Average View Duration (AVD) numbers.
- Deliver color-corrected, mixed, and fully formatted videos with thumbnail assets and chapter markers.
- Execute one creative experiment per quarter with a clear hypothesis and data-driven results report.
- Monitor YouTube algorithm shifts and format trends to provide actionable insights.
- Communicate status updates and potential risks proactively to ensure timely delivery.
