Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in product management or leadership with a track record of shaping strategic direction.
- Experience leading products end-to-end, from strategic hypothesis to execution and refinement based on performance.
- Deep expertise in lean startup methodologies, design thinking, and agile product development.
- Proven experience managing and developing senior product practitioners and building a culture of accountability.
- Highly analytical with the ability to synthesize qualitative insights, quantitative data, and financial analysis.
- Excellent communication skills for engaging with senior stakeholders, funders, and technical teams.
- Experience or strong interest in AI-powered coaching, behavior change design, or livelihoods programming.
- Familiarity with evidence-driven development, including RCTs or impact measurement frameworks.
- User-centered approach to designing products for low-income or out-of-school youth in mobile-first environments.
- Eager to learn about micro-entrepreneurship and informal sector realities in East Africa.
Responsibilities
- Own SIFA's full strategic direction from MVP to portfolio backbone, including the investment stage strategy and evidence case.
- Drive product strategy within priorities set by business unit leadership, including high-stakes trade-offs and investment memo recommendations.
- Set and own SIFA's learning agenda, defining evidence standards and integrating research findings into decision-making.
- Manage the full suite of product builds, including WhatsApp and Webapp journeys, and maintain alignment with tech and evaluation partners.
- Lead stage retreats, quarterly planning, and cross-functional workstreams to ensure coherent execution across impact and design teams.
- Oversee the CPY narrative, product budget, and data architecture to ensure decision-useful insights for leadership and the Investment Committee.
