Requirements

Minimum of 5 years of consumer lending processing and underwriting experience.
Proficiency in credit scoring models and loan underwriting guidelines.
Expertise in Fair Credit Reporting, Fair Lending, and Debt Collection Practices.
Knowledge of federal, state, and local lending laws, statutes, and regulations.
Familiarity with Truth in Lending Regulations (Z, E, and B).
Understanding of deposit operations (BSA, Regs. CC, DD, E, D, and Q).
Ability to analyze income documentation and self-employed borrower trends.
Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality.
Effective written and oral communication skills.
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or related fields (preferred).

Responsibilities

Analyze loan applications, credit bureau reports, collateral evaluations, and financial documentation for lending decisions.
Ensure loan decisions conform to fair lending, regulatory compliance, and internal policies.
Communicate effectively with the consumer lending team, branches, and dealer/merchant partners regarding credit decisions.
Foster and maintain positive relationships with dealer and merchant partners.
Mentor team members and provide up-to-date tools, training, and development.
Support process improvements, special programs, and business objectives.
Assist leadership with operational activities such as scheduling and conducting meetings.
