Requirements
- 6–9 years of cybersecurity engineering experience.
- 3–4 years focused on security automation, SOC engineering, or SIEM/SOAR development.
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
- Strong proficiency with Python, PowerShell, and APIs.
- Experience with cloud automation and production-grade integration patterns.
- Hands-on experience with enterprise SIEM/SOAR platforms (Microsoft Sentinel preferred).
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Defender/XDR and Azure Logic Apps.
- Solid understanding of threat detection, logging pipelines, alert tuning, and incident response.
- Track record of delivering reliable automation in production environments.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain automation for alert enrichment, correlation, triage, incident response, and case handoffs across platforms like Microsoft Sentinel, Defender/XDR, Azure Logic Apps, Tines, and ServiceNow.
- Develop integrations and tooling using Python, PowerShell, and cloud-native services with production-quality error handling and documentation.
- Collaborate with detection engineers and analysts to identify automation opportunities and streamline SOC operations.
- Design AI-assisted and agentic workflows for investigation and decision support, ensuring human-in-the-loop approvals and quality controls.
- Partner with infrastructure and compliance teams, perform code reviews, mentor staff, and establish automation standards.
