Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field preferred.
- 3–12+ years of U.S. commercial construction estimating experience.
- Direct experience estimating structural steel fabrication projects.
- Experience estimating miscellaneous metals and fabricated steel packages.
- Proficiency with construction estimating software such as Bluebeam, PlanSwift, or Procore.
- Proven experience obtaining vendor quotations and managing material pricing.
- Strong analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent English communication skills.
- Available to work 40 hours per week during U.S. Central Time business hours.
Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate cost estimates for structural steel fabrication, miscellaneous metals, stairs, handrails, and pre-engineered metal building installations.
- Review architectural and structural drawings, specifications, and bid documents.
- Perform quantity takeoffs using estimating software and manual markups.
- Obtain and evaluate vendor and supplier quotations for materials and subcontracted work.
- Collaborate with leadership to align estimates with labor rates, overhead, and target profit margins.
- Maintain organized bid documentation and support project transitions after contract award.
