Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- CPA, CA, or equivalent professional qualification highly preferred.
- Minimum 5 years' experience working specifically as a Financial Controller for an Australian business.
- Proven experience with end-to-end responsibility for the finance function.
- Demonstrated experience implementing Xero and establishing accounting systems from the ground up.
- Extensive experience managing payroll oversight and Australian compliance.
- Strong knowledge of Australian accounting standards and financial reporting.
- Demonstrated experience with budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and cash flow management.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and financial modelling capability.
- Ability to operate independently while collaborating with senior stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day financial management and reporting functions.
- Prepare and review monthly management reports, financial statements, and executive reporting packs.
- Provide strategic financial advice and recommendations to executive leadership.
- Implement and design Xero accounting processes and financial controls.
- Manage payroll oversight, compliance, and financial governance.
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management activities.
- Support external accountants, auditors, and regulatory reporting requirements.
- Develop and maintain robust financial controls, policies, and governance frameworks.
