Requirements
- Experience estimating residential construction projects within the Australian construction industry.
- Solid understanding of Australian construction terminology, methods, and standard building practices.
- Experience using Bluebeam or a comparable estimating software.
- Experience converting take-offs into Excel/CSV format for import into Buildertrend's estimating module.
- Advanced Excel skills (cost plan templates).
- Experience estimating high-end residential projects in the $2M–$10M+ range.
- Ability to estimate from structural engineering drawings.
- Experience costing provisional sums and PC items for bespoke/high-end finishes.
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently, prioritise workload, and consistently meet deadlines.
- Experience with Buildertrend estimating (preferred).
Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate cost estimates and take-offs for high-end residential construction projects.
- Review architectural and structural engineering drawings, specifications, and supporting documentation.
- Produce detailed material and labour estimates using Bluebeam or similar estimating software.
- Ensure estimates are completed within agreed timeframes.
- Liaise with internal stakeholders as required to clarify project details.
- Maintain accuracy and consistency across all estimating documentation.
