Requirements
- Fully qualified Chartered Accountant (ACA or CA).
- Audit background.
- Financial reporting and control experience outside of practice.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Understanding of banking and regulatory landscape.
- Proficiency in leveraging data to automate reporting and drive efficiency.
- Ability to translate complex information into simple language.
- Experience in a listed company or financial services regulated environment (nice to have).
- Familiarity with US reporting/SOX compliance (nice to have).
- Knowledge of ESG reporting/audit of sustainability information (nice to have).
- SQL skills (bonus).
Responsibilities
- Draft annual reports and coordinate full year-end processes with external auditors.
- Review new product accounting impacts and implement them in the banking and accounting platforms.
- Maintain and develop financial controls to protect financial data and balance sheets.
- Collaborate with engineering and data teams to automate production elements of reporting.
- Prepare monthly management reports and provide insightful commentary on business performance.
- Support the production of ESG sustainability reporting and disclosures.
- Review new contracts for accounting treatment in coordination with legal and business teams.
- Assist in the implementation of new accounting systems to minimize manual processes.
