Requirements
- 8+ years of professional software engineering experience.
- Proven experience in optimizing AI systems using machine learning and systems techniques.
- Deep experience in harnessing generative AI, specifically for agents and coding.
- Fluency in multiple programming languages and an affinity for learning new ones.
- Deep experience with concurrent programming, including safe use of mutexes and atomics.
- Experience designing APIs and writing documentation for public libraries.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent experience in production-grade software.
- Ability to travel for company events and team offsites 1-2 times per year.
Responsibilities
- Lead agent optimization efforts, designing tools to improve token spend, response time, and result quality.
- Design and build reliable, high-quality agentic coding systems.
- Take end-to-end ownership of new features, collaborating with teams to deliver robust software.
- Work with multiple programming languages including Python, TypeScript, Java, and Go.
- Serve as a domain expert on AI design patterns, collaborating with field staff to provide best practices.
- Engage with the developer community to debug issues and provide feedback on features and APIs.
- Author public technical documentation for Temporal concepts and APIs.
