Requirements
- 3+ years of professional work experience harnessing generative AI, particularly for agents and coding.
- Deep understanding of using AI to increase software quality.
- Fluency in two or more programming languages (Python, TypeScript, Java, or Go).
- Strong experience with concurrent programming primitives such as mutexes and atomics.
- Experience designing APIs and writing documentation for publicly-available libraries or modules.
- Strong written and verbal technical communication skills in English.
- BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent experience in production-grade software.
- Familiarity with Temporal’s programming model is a plus.
- Experience building agents or other AI applications is a plus.
- Background in machine learning, model training, or data science systems is a plus.
- Experience contributing to the architecture of large-scale distributed systems is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Design and build agentic coding systems that deliver high-quality, reliable outputs.
- Implement Temporal AI SDK features supporting a broad variety of frameworks and libraries.
- Develop a deep understanding of AI application development patterns and emerging architectures.
- Take end-to-end ownership of new features, collaborating across teams to ensure reliability and developer experience.
- Serve as a domain expert on AI design patterns and collaborate with field staff to provide canonical examples.
- Engage with the developer community to debug issues and gather feedback on Temporal features and APIs.
- Write public technical documentation for Temporal concepts and APIs.
