Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- 8+ years of experience building software.
- At least 2 years in an architect or technical leadership role.
- 4+ years of experience working on large-scale distributed systems.
- 4+ years leading technical projects across multiple teams.
- Strong programming and design fundamentals.
- Experience with AI coding agents (nice to have).
- Experience building developer platforms or internal tooling for large engineering organizations (nice to have).
- Strong skills in Go, Python, or TypeScript (nice to have).
Responsibilities
- Shape the technical direction of the developer platform, including CI/CD and build systems.
- Design and build AI agents for coding, code review, test generation, and incident response.
- Scale developer tooling to support engineering growth without sacrificing reliability.
- Standardize tools and practices across engineering teams.
- Mentor engineers and raise the technical bar through design discussions and code reviews.
- Partner with leadership to identify and execute on high-impact technical bets.
- Represent Samsara externally through talks and open-source contributions.
