Requirements
- 4+ years of production experience with backend systems using Python, Node.js, TypeScript, or Java.
- Hands-on integration experience with enterprise voice AI engines such as Amelia or SoundHound.
- Direct experience working with RingCentral APIs, SDKs, Webhooks, and SIP/telephony routing infrastructure.
- Proven experience building integrations with Epic or other major EHRs using FHIR, SMART on FHIR, and HL7 protocols.
- Strong understanding of WebSockets, WebRTC, SIP, and streaming gRPC protocols.
- Experience deploying containerized applications (Docker, Kubernetes) on AWS or Azure.
- Advanced/Fluent English (C1/C2) proficiency.
- Ability to manage projects independently in a remote-first, distributed environment.
Responsibilities
- Architect, deploy, and maintain end-to-end integration workflows connecting RingCentral cloud communications with enterprise conversational AI platforms.
- Connect AI voice interactions directly to Epic using FHIR APIs, SMART on FHIR, and HL7 messaging.
- Optimize SIP, WebSockets, WebRTC, and media streaming protocols for low-latency voice interactions.
- Partner with AI engineers to tune NLU, speech-to-text, and text-to-speech models for healthcare-specific terminology.
- Ensure all voice streams and API exchanges adhere to HIPAA, HITRUST, and NIST security standards.
- Troubleshoot integration points and monitor system performance with US-based engineering and clinical teams.
