Requirements
- Tertiary qualifications in Electrical Engineering.
- 8+ years of relevant experience within a design consultancy.
- High Voltage substation experience.
- Proficiency in MicroStation and AutoCAD.
- Previous exposure to Australian projects.
- Strong knowledge of Australian Standards, codes, and regulations (e.g., AS 2067, AS 3000, AS 3008).
- Experience in LV and HV power system studies (load flow, short circuit, arc flash, etc.).
- Experience with ETAP, EMTP, or PS CAD software.
- Ability to produce single line diagrams, schematic diagrams, and cable block diagrams.
- Proven experience in design, analysis, and delivery of electrical works in energy projects.
Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed electrical design documentation for HV substation and utility infrastructure projects.
- Develop primary design deliverables including general arrangements, equipment layouts, cable routing, earthing layouts, conduit layouts, and associated detailed design drawings.
- Support the preparation and coordination of design packages in accordance with project requirements and delivery schedules.
- Assist engineers and project teams with design development and drawing production activities.
- Conduct electrical systems modelling and studies, including load flow, short circuit, and protection analysis.
