Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Business, Language and Culture, Political Science, or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience developing and executing patient advocacy or public affairs campaigns.
  • Proven experience building strategic relationships with key external stakeholders and advocacy organizations.
  • Strong communication expertise, including storytelling, strategic messaging, writing, presentations, and public speaking.
  • Ability to translate complex healthcare, policy, and business topics into clear and compelling communications.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver measurable results.
  • Experience collaborating across cross-functional teams and influencing internal and external stakeholders.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and comfortable operating in a complex healthcare environment.
  • Willingness to travel as needed to support key initiatives.
  • Master’s degree in Communications, Business, Political Science, or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience in patient advocacy, medical devices, healthcare policy, disability advocacy, or chronic care initiatives is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage relationships with patient advocacy groups, professional societies, industry associations, and other external stakeholders at state and federal levels.
  • Identify healthcare policy and reimbursement risks and provide insights to support market access and business strategies.
  • Support initiatives that promote patient access to appropriate products, personalized care, integrated healthcare solutions, and improved outcomes for individuals with chronic conditions.
  • Represent advocacy and public affairs initiatives through external forums, stakeholder meetings, and industry collaborations.
  • Build strategic partnerships with patient organizations, healthcare associations, and advocacy networks to advance shared objectives.
  • Develop and execute public affairs campaigns in collaboration with internal teams and external communication partners.
  • Create campaign materials, engagement tools, and resources that support advocacy efforts and commercial objectives.
  • Measure campaign performance, analyze outcomes, and provide recommendations for future initiatives.
  • Coordinate global and regional advocacy campaigns while ensuring alignment with broader organizational priorities.
  • Partner with Market Access, Reimbursement, Government Affairs, Medical Affairs, Marketing, and clinical teams to support healthcare access initiatives.
