Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline preferred.
- 5+ years of professional software development experience.
- 2+ years of experience working with relevant software technologies and leading or mentoring engineering teams.
- Strong programming experience in one or more industry-standard languages such as Java, Python, Go, C++, or JavaScript.
- Experience with data structures, algorithms, design patterns, relational databases, NoSQL databases, and caching solutions.
- Experience designing and developing APIs using modern protocols such as REST and gRPC.
- Knowledge of messaging, streaming, workflow, and integration technologies such as Apache Kafka, Apache NiFi, Amazon SQS, MS MQ, or Apache Camel.
- Experience with microservices architectures and distributed application design.
- Experience with containerization technologies including Docker and Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure preferred.
- Experience applying DevSecOps practices to improve engineering productivity and delivery quality.
- Strong understanding of building secure, compliant, scalable, and maintainable software systems.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Demonstrated leadership skills through mentoring, technical guidance, and team collaboration.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain complex software applications with strong focus on reliability, performance, scalability, and security.
- Translate product requirements into robust technical designs for distributed application systems that are modular, reusable, maintainable, and user-focused.
- Write high-quality code while following engineering standards, best practices, and established development processes.
- Lead technical design reviews and code reviews across multiple applications to ensure quality and consistency.
- Guide agile development teams by supporting sprint execution, removing technical blockers, and ensuring successful delivery of planned features.
- Collaborate with product teams, engineering groups, and business stakeholders to deliver solutions aligned with customer and organizational needs.
- Mentor junior and mid-level engineers by providing technical guidance, knowledge sharing, and support for professional growth.
- Drive technical strategy and contribute to architectural decisions that improve system capabilities and engineering efficiency.
- Apply modern engineering practices, including DevSecOps approaches, automation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Analyze system performance, leverage data insights, and implement improvements to enhance scalability and effectiveness.
