Based in the San Francisco Bay area, California: $166,400.00 - $208,000.00.

Requirements
- 5+ years of experience designing and developing highly available, high-scale, secure, mission-critical cloud-native enterprise distributed systems.
- Strong proficiency in Java or Go.
- Solid knowledge of AWS ecosystems including Lambda, EKS, DynamoDB, and Kafka.
- Hands-on experience with cloud-native infrastructure and microservices patterns.
- Practical experience using AI tools such as Copilot, Claude, or Cursor to accelerate software delivery.
- Experience building and maintaining high-volume public-facing APIs.
- Experience with high-throughput data processing and storage solutions like SQL/NoSQL, Redis, or Spark.
- Familiarity with Kubernetes, Terraform, and modern CI/CD paradigms.
- Demonstrated ability to influence technical decisions through strong communication.
Responsibilities
- Contribute significantly to the technical design and roadmap for core platform components.
- Author technical specifications and drive execution to transition legacy systems into modern, scalable cloud-native microservices.
- Leverage AI coding assistants to automate boilerplate, generate test suites, and prototype solutions.
- Drive end-to-end component ownership, balancing rapid feature delivery with system reliability and security.
- Partner with Product Managers and stakeholders to translate requirements into technical specs and developer-first APIs.
- Mentor junior engineers and foster a collaborative environment through code reviews and technical guidance.
- Identify and resolve technical risks, performance bottlenecks, and security vulnerabilities.
- Own on-call responsibilities, including incident resolution and root-cause remediation.
- Articulate technical designs and system trade-offs through RFCs and high-quality documentation.
