Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent) in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • Strong grasp of fundamental finance principles.
  • 2-4 years of experience in an FP&A, accounting, or a similar finance role.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial statements.
  • Experience in financial modeling including working with a three-statement financial model (preferred).
  • Experience with enterprise accounting software (e.g., Netsuite) (preferred).
  • Experience with Google Workspace (G Suite) (plus).
  • Database experience (e.g., SQL) (plus).
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and taking ownership of your work.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing accurate, high-quality work.
  • High integrity and discretion when handling confidential financial information.

Responsibilities

  • Support the monthly close process by preparing reports, tracking deliverables and helping ensure a smooth and timely close.
  • Analyze the income statement, balance sheet, and statement of cash flows to understand business performance and identify key drivers.
  • Prepare detailed variance analyses by comparing actual results against forecasts and prior periods and providing commentary.
  • Work closely with the Accounting team to understand the business results and ensure financial information is complete and accurate.
  • Partner with teams across the business to gather assumptions, understand upcoming initiatives, and incorporate them into budgets and forecasts.
  • Support the semiannual budgeting processes and monthly rolling forecasts across the business.
  • Maintain and improve financial models used for planning and reporting.
  • Analyze business trends and help explain changes in financial performance.
  • Prepare recurring analyses that support planning and decision making.
  • Support the production of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial presentations for company leadership and external stakeholders.
