Requirements
- 7+ years in content and editorial roles.
- 3+ years leading an SEO-driven content program at a consumer, fintech, insurtech, marketplace, or affiliate brand.
- Proven experience shipping a production-level AI-assisted content pipeline.
- Demonstrable expertise in AEO (Answer Engine Optimization) and tracking performance in AI answer engines.
- Experience in regulated or high-stakes content categories such as insurance, personal finance, health, or legal.
- Hands-on command of LLMs (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini) for drafting and research.
- Proficiency with SEO tools including GSC, Semrush, Ahrefs, and content tools like Sitefire, Surfer, Clearscope, MarketMuse, or Frase.
- Fluency in GA4 and the ability to own and report on traffic and conversion targets.
- Experience managing staff or freelance writers.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating editorial judgment and accuracy.
- Must currently reside in AZ, CA, CO, FL, GA, IL, MA, NC, NJ, NV, NY, OR, TN, TX, UT, VA, or Ontario, Canada.
Responsibilities
- Own Jerry's editorial engine across jerry.ai and external platforms, including roadmap, architecture, and resource allocation.
- Design and run the brief, AI draft, human edit, QA, and publish workflow, managing prompt libraries and quality-drift metrics.
- Build content clusters that rank on Google and earn citations from AI answer engines like ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Gemini.
- Set and enforce editorial voice, style guides, and YMYL trust infrastructure, including sourcing discipline and editorial review processes.
- Manage and develop at least one direct report and a freelance bench while personally producing content.
