Requirements
- At least 3 years of hands-on experience with Apache Spark, preferably on Databricks
- Strong proficiency in Python for data processing and application development
- Solid experience with SQL and relational databases, preferably PostgreSQL
- Experience with Azure DevOps and modern development practices
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to take end-to-end ownership of services
- Very good English communication skills (B2)
- German language skills (plus)
- Insurance industry knowledge (ideal)
- Azure Cloud knowledge, Terraform, or Biceps (ideal)
- Experience with Airflow (ideal)
- Experience with web services and XML/JSON/REST/SOAP (ideal)
Responsibilities
- Develop and enhance assigned platform capabilities on Databricks, taking true end-to-end ownership
- Proactively ensure that platform services deliver reliable, high-quality business value
- Actively contribute to the Data & AI Community of Practice, sharing knowledge and best practices
- Enable and support internal teams in effectively using the platform framework and its capabilities
