Requirements

  • 5+ years in Product management, with 2-3 years specifically in platform, infrastructure, developer-facing, or backend/API products.
  • Technical depth and the ability to reason about distributed systems, execution models, and non-functional requirements.
  • Proven track record of leading cross-team technical initiatives, including migrations or breaking changes.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize under ambiguity and connect technical work to commercial outcomes.
  • Strong ownership and autonomy in driving outcomes.
  • Exceptional communication skills to explain complex platform topics to diverse audiences.
  • Understanding of enterprise software requirements, including self-hosted, air-gapped, and restricted deployment environments.
  • Ability to read code or prototype (nice-to-have).
  • Experience with B2B SaaS security and compliance requirements (nice-to-have).
  • Familiarity with workflow automation or open-source developer-community products (nice-to-have).

Responsibilities

  • Define and communicate the product strategy and roadmap for the Core Platform in partnership with Engineering and Product leadership.
  • Prioritize foundational investments based on customer impact, enterprise needs, technical risk, and engineering effort.
  • Lead product discovery for technically complex problems by engaging with enterprise customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Drive improvements to the scalability and reliability of n8n's execution engine, including worker pools and distributed execution.
  • Shape secure and flexible approaches for executing code within n8n.
  • Drive the planning and release of major platform versions, including migration strategy and risk management.
  • Establish success measures and ensure the squad is accountable for outcomes.
  • Act as a bridge between the Core team and internal teams like Sales, Solutions Engineering, and Customer Success.
