Requirements
- 8 years of relevant professional experience.
- 4+ years of experience with state Medicaid Enterprise Systems (government or contractor side).
- Expertise in Medicaid Information Technology Architecture (MITA).
- Expertise in building secure, compliant software and managing security risks.
- Demonstrated experience building, maintaining, and evaluating complex, scalable systems.
- Proficiency in assessing architecture and code quality across modern software development languages.
- Experience with API, database, and data pipeline design and risk assessment.
- Ability to operate as a self-starter in ambiguous environments.
- Experience working in government consulting engagements.
- Must be a resident of the United States for 3 of the past 5 years.
- Must be able to pass a Public Trust (SF85 or SF85P) background investigation.
Responsibilities
- Analyze systemic challenges and complex factors impacting State Medicaid Enterprise System modernization projects.
- Advise cross-functional teams including policy experts, system architects, and project managers on technical strategies.
- Assess architectural decisions and evaluate the design, security, and scalability of complex, multi-component systems.
- Translate and communicate technical information clearly through diagrams and written documentation.
- Collaborate to break down ambiguous goals into concrete, feasible steps and build buy-in from government stakeholders.
- Influence research questions and identify high-impact opportunities for systemic change.
