Requirements
- 12–18 years of experience in enterprise data or cloud architecture as a Solutions Architect, Principal Engineer, or equivalent.
- At least one prior multi-year embedded engagement at a Tier 1 bank or equivalent regulated enterprise.
- Recent hands-on experience with modern open-source data stacks: Spark, Trino, Airflow, Iceberg, Kubernetes, Kafka, and S3-compatible storage.
- Proven experience producing and defending design documentation in front of architecture review boards.
- Demonstrated track record of identifying and qualifying expansion or net-new use cases through architectural insight.
- Deep familiarity with bank IT culture, including risk and control frameworks, TPRM, change management, and regulatory reporting.
- Willingness to be on-site in Charlotte, NC and NYC at an 80%+ cadence.
Responsibilities
- Hold design authority over NX1 deployment patterns and actively contribute to architecture review boards, security reviews, and data governance forums.
- Design and defend integration architectures across identity federation, CDC, data lineage, network segmentation, and encryption.
- Identify and qualify future workloads for NX1 deployment before they are fully articulated by the customer.
- Produce high-quality technical design documentation capable of passing rigorous internal reviews.
- Act as the technical escalation point for deployment issues and navigate complex vendor governance, including audit responses and risk reviews.
- Coordinate internal alignment across engineering, product, and account management teams.
- Maintain executive-level relationships with customer leadership to drive long-term commercial partnership.
