Requirements
- Strong foundation in applied cryptography, including symmetric and asymmetric encryption, hashing algorithms, digital signatures, key exchange protocols, and cryptographic libraries.
- Proven experience designing and implementing secure systems with a focus on security best practices and industry standards.
- Strong programming skills in languages such as Go, C++, C, or Rust, with experience writing secure and maintainable code.
- Knowledge of authentication and authorization systems, including multi-factor authentication, OAuth 2.0, and role-based access control.
- Experience with threat modeling, security architecture, vulnerability analysis, and risk mitigation strategies.
- Strong computer science fundamentals, including concurrency, algorithms, and data structures.
- Ability to analyze complex distributed systems and identify opportunities for security improvements.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex security concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience collaborating with engineering teams and influencing security practices across an organization.
- Commitment to code quality, testing infrastructure, user experience, and business impact.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain secure, high-quality code for cryptographic controls and security infrastructure using languages such as Go, C++, C, and Rust.
- Design, implement, and improve security solutions across distributed systems, ensuring strong protection of assets and sensitive data.
- Apply advanced cryptography concepts, including encryption, hashing, digital signatures, key management, and cryptographic protocols.
- Build and maintain threat models to evaluate system risks and strengthen security guarantees.
- Analyze complex architectures, identify vulnerabilities, and develop effective mitigation strategies.
- Support engineering teams by reviewing code, improving security guardrails, and addressing security-related technical challenges.
- Contribute to security initiatives from planning through execution, breaking complex projects into actionable tasks and delivering measurable outcomes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to review technical specifications, solve problems, and communicate security recommendations clearly.
