Requirements
- Experienced software engineer with strong coding skills in Python, C++, or C#.
- Solid understanding of software design, abstraction, modularity, and maintainable system architecture.
- Experience writing clean, testable, production-grade code using modern practices like code reviews, automated testing, and CI/CD.
- Experience working in operationally critical environments requiring reliability and observability.
- Ability to understand and modernize legacy systems while maintaining business continuity.
- Strong communication skills across software, manufacturing, and operations domains.
- Nice to have: Experience with PLC programming, industrial robots, or OT systems.
- Nice to have: Familiarity with KUKA KRL, OPC-UA, or MQTT.
- Nice to have: Experience in logistics, manufacturing, or production-critical environments.
- Nice to have: Familiarity with simulation-driven development or digital twins.
Responsibilities
- Analyze and explain existing PLC (Siemens TIA Portal), robot (KUKA KRL), and OT code from external vendors.
- Design and implement Python-based software components that replace, abstract, or orchestrate legacy PLC and robot logic.
- Build maintainable, testable, and well-structured services with a strong focus on code quality, modularity, and long-term ownership.
- Monitor, maintain, and improve software uptime including reliable updates, latency, and efficiency.
- Act as a bridge between digital product delivery and physical logistics and manufacturing systems.
- Define, monitor, and evolve SLAs/SLOs and KPIs like OEE for critical systems.
