Requirements
- 5+ years of underwriting experience.
- At least several years of experience handling high-complex cyber and Technology E&O risks for large enterprise business ($1B+ revenue).
- Experience in underwriting miscellaneous professional liability is a plus.
- Ability to analyze complex cyber and technology risks and understand implications for pricing and profitability.
- Expertise in crafting solutions that combine underwriting judgment with broker and client needs.
- Strong presentation presence and comfort handling executive-facing conversations.
- Proven negotiation skills.
- Meaningful experience mentoring others and contributing to underwriting standards or training.
Responsibilities
- Underwrite new and renewal accounts within authority, including enterprise segment accounts with ~$1B+ in revenue.
- Own senior and specialty broker relationships and lead client-facing activity for complex accounts.
- Maintain disciplined underwriting files, documentation, and internal tool usage in line with workflows.
- Lead granular discussions on coverage, manuscript endorsements, and non-standard structures.
- Apply technical underwriting judgment to risks involving complex networks, subsidiaries, and operating-company exposures.
- Mentor and coach other underwriters on files, communication, and deal strategy.
- Partner with Sales, Product, Claims, and Security teams to improve underwriting decisions and outcomes.
- Help shape regional underwriting practices and escalation standards.
