Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience in technical editing for web channels or publishing.
- Degree in English, Technical Writing, Publishing, or related field.
- Excellent copyediting and proofreading skills with strong command of American English.
- Strong research skills and interest in software development and emerging technologies.
- Ability to evaluate technical content for structure, clarity, accuracy, and audience fit.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills for balancing multiple projects.
- Ability to work independently and meet high-stakes deadlines.
- Must have a working laptop/PC, reliable internet, and a backup connection.
- Software engineering or development experience is preferred.
- Basic HTML knowledge is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Select, copyedit, and prepare technical site content for publication on DZone.
- Research trends in the SDLC to support content strategy and article planning.
- Monitor support and editor inboxes and escalate issues as needed.
- Manage contributor-driven commercial content projects from kickoff through completion.
- Vet, commission, and onboard contributors, providing clear feedback on outlines and drafts.
- Maintain contributor records and project documentation within internal systems.
